I'm a little short on words today - but let me put it simply: men suck.

You deserve so much better.

NEO: Good point. And thanks for the "*hugs*" :)

Pegs: Yep, believe it or not, when Le Canadien and I started dating, he was only 25 or, maybe, 26.

Jenn: You may be on to something with this whole polygamous bisexuality stuff.

It's weird but I was just thinking about the women who stand me up. You tend to forgive your girlfriends more easily, but after about a hundred times, it gets old.

I agree with Neo. At least he showed his true colours before you wasted any time with him.

Besides, don't go out with guys you don't find hot. They don't realise they're godawful which is always a bummer.

Polygamous bisexuality is the way forward!

Does this guy by any chance install cable? I am sure he (or one of his close, personal friends) was supposed to install my cable four days in a row about 18 months ago...

Now you know what the rest of us were talking about when we told stories of being stood up. Rude, yes. Inevitable, yes. Date long enough, LIVE long enough, it will happen to you, too.

I didn't know Le Canadien was so young. Had me fooled.

Hope you're doing better!

*hugs*

Anhoni Patel: Very well put.

goldennib: New York is surprisingly small. I "run into" friends and the same random strangers on the city's streets quite often. If this man is ever so unlucky to somehow find himself in my path one day, I'll "go Russell Crowe on him" (as Sid would say) and beat the hell out of him with my cell phone.

Sounds to me like you ran across a control freak and / or emotional vampire. Someone who torques people up just for the sick fun of it. Next time trying running over him.

missbhavens He was 37. He would have been the oldest guy that I'd ever met for a date. I typically date guys that are between 27 - 32. I have fun with "Under 25" boys every now and then, but it's just that: fun.

At one time, I thought about dating Late 30-something men to avoid the immature games. But, then again, the guy who stood me up is going to be 40 in a few years. Plus, two of my ex-boyfriends--Le Canadien and The Republican Mexican--were mid 20-something guys and they were both extremely mature. Actually, when people meet Le Canadien, they always think that he's in his mid- to late-30s. (I think it's his high-stress, management-level, corporate job; it's literally aging him and killing him. But, I digress.)

At any rate, all of this is to say that I'm not sure if going older is the answer. They say you (both men and women) can be "a child" only once, but "immature" forever.

Mitch: I know. I figure everyone deserves a second chance. Things happen. But, when he stood me up AGAIN, that's when I got ***REALLY*** pissed off. By the way, about that "his loss" thing ... that's very very sweet of you. :) Thanks.
