Ooooh, A Secret Rendezvous
Oh, how I wish that I could report that I’ve snogged some chap. But, the truth is: I haven’t. I’ve been working. Sure, I’ve met a few boys here and there. The odd thing is that they seem to fall into two extremes: [1] cute, nice, sweet, shy British boys who (pretend not to) stare all night and [2] dirty older men who want me to go home with them. Ewww! :-(
On a completely unrelated topic, I have news. I am going to have my first “blogger meeting.” Yes, folks, it’s true. I’m going to meet a real, live blogger face-to-face in a matter of, well, a couple of hours. I am soooo absurdly excited. Guess who I will meet. Will it be the funniest man in the UK, Jay? Or, maybe the fiery red-head, Nics? Perhaps Surly Girl, the Brit Chick with the gusto-packed blog? Or, the tell-it-like-it is, blunt, bold and mysterious Darwin? To those who have been reading my blog for a little while: Any Guesses? To my new readers and/or the people who don’t want to guess: if you could meet any blogger , who would you want to meet? Here’s your chance to plug one of your favorite blogs …

If I could choose to meet with any Blogger, why, it would have to be you of course…

Lol well it’s not (mysterious? really?!) me because I’m not in London, I’m 1.5hrs away if you do want to visit Bath (it’s very pretty here, tourist and national heritage site and all, ok I’ll stop the sales pitch)! My bet is that it’s Jay since he’s the london boy…lucky you, he’s gonna keep you laughing your arse off from what I can tell from the way he writes!
And I’m stuck with my bloody books revising for a bloody exam that I will most probably screw up regardless of how much I revise….sigh

It would be, of course, our good friend The Fake Doctor…

It’s gotta be Jay! That’s so cool. I’m so jealous! I can’t wait to see the pics of the two fo you in a pub with your heads cut off. :)
Of all the blogs I read of people who I don’t know in real life, I would say you TOTALLY top my list, Stolie. Close second isKaren from Chookooloonks. She’s fun and witty and smart and so pretty.
Oh, don’t worry about the snogging. Better to not snog than snog out of desperation with one of the dirty older men… Ewww is right!

LOL Sadly, it’s not me! I may be a total blogwhore but when it comes to real life meets I’m terribly shy.
Off the top of my head, the top three bloggers I’d like to meet would be Scott Adams (Dilbert creator, ’nuff said), Belle (to see if she’s really as hot as she makes herself out to be) and Stolie (because this is her blog and it’s only polite!)
-wink-

Hmm so it’s not me, it’s not Jay, I bet its either Surly girl or Nics. Considering the fact that you had tickets to Belfast, the logical deduction would be Nics.
I am so clever…
Who would I like to meet real life? Gotta agree with Jay, I’d kill to meet Scott Adams. BOCTAOE, YSLE!!
The Fake Doctor or Maddox if the above doesnt work out, although I enjoy Maddox’s writing, I suspect he’d be a tad bit scary in real life!

Oh and you of course!

Everyone: Thanks (and, of course, smooches) for putting “me” on your list of people to meet. I honestly wasn’t fishing for ego strokes; I am just genuinely interested to know what other blogs / bloggers everyone reads. Curiosity, you know?
Dear Lovey Heart: Okay, I haven’t checked out Mr. Brooks or Phil’s blogs, but I will now.
Mitch: Oooh, you stroke my ego oh so well. :) In the post I meant, “if you could meet another blogger [present company excluded], who would it be … And, for the record, of course I’m dying to meet you, cutie. ;)
Darwin: Jay was a good guess since he’s in London. And, DAMN … I forgot that I already mentioned the Belfast thing. So, I guess that kind of spoils the surprise about tomorrow’s post, huh? :)
Kyla: YES!! Who doesn’t want to meet him??? He’s great isn’t he?
MamaChristy: I think I pulled the mysterious thing off pretty well because everybody thought that it was Jay!!! By the way, ditto everything that you said about Karen from Chookooloonks …
Jay: Everyone thought that it was you!!!! :) No worries; I sooo know what you mean about the shyness thing. I’ve only met one blogger thus far; details tomorrow.
Everyone: Totally off subject, but here’s a BoB Award update. Apparently, it’s a 2-step process. First, you nominate a blog that you like and then you vote for the selected nominees. I’ve all ready said mucho thanks to those that nominated me; so, now I’ll say “thank you” to those of you who recently visited the site to vote for my blog. You all rock!!

I think I read somewhere (maybe her blog) that you are meeting Nics.
I’d actually like to stand behind a curtain and watch the people I read. I’m shy too, but curious.

About any snogging.

goldennib: I know, it was scary and frightening to think of peeking my head over the keyboard and meeting another blogger face-to-face. But, I did it and I am soooo glad that I did! :)
JohnJEnright: I actually have a story about the whole snogging thing …
Papigiulio: You’re right. Not you this time, but you never know what the future might bring. :)
January 16th, 2006 at 6:18 pm
Stolie, I swear one day in the near future our paths will cross in the big city when I come there for a visit. You would have to be my top choice for blogger face to face meet and greet and all that jazz!
January 17th, 2006 at 12:42 am
Oh sweetie; you’re too kind!!! :) I’d love to meet you one day, too.
