It’s a “Meat Market” Because We’re Made of Flesh
I love a man with a great, big, hard, long pair of legs. Really, I do. The soccer players on Fox Soccer? Yummy! Hottie cyclists motoring their bicycles through Central Park? Delicious. Now, don’t get me wrong … I’m well aware that legs aren’t usually the first thing that come to mind whenever we all start playing the “What’s Your Favorite Part of a Man’s Body?” game. I can think of at least two other body parts that win first place and runner up on a regular basis. But, anyway, I can’t help it; I think men with great legs are sexy.
Actually … wait a minute … who the hell am I kidding? I think (attractive) men are sexy, period. I love a guy with a great smile and dashingly beautiful white teeth. I love it when a guy wears just enough cologne that you get catch a faint whiff of it when he walks by, but not so much that you smell him from several feet away. I love men who are honest. I love men who are quite a few inches taller than me. I love men who go to the gym. I love men who simply say what they mean and mean what they say without the silly double talk or ulterior meanings & motives. I love it when a guy gets noticeably excited. I love men who look like David Beckham … and men who look like Daniel Sunjata … and Paul Walker, and Maxwell, and Lenny Kravitz, and Andy Garcia, and Benjamin Bratt. I like the way (attractive) men look, smell, feel and taste.
Hmmm … I know that I already did a “Best Thing About Being a Woman” post, but I don’t think that I ever did a “Best Thing About Being a Man” post. (And, even if I did, screw it, who cares, I’m doing it again.) So, tell me: What do you like most about men? Oh, and, men who want to play along but aren’t attracted to other men can answer this question instead: What do you like most about being a man?

You nailed it, with the lingering scent of a good cologne.
I also love a man with strong hands and forearms with a wicked tan or naturally olive skin.

Oh, sweetie, no need to feel pretentious at all. It’s your nickname: claim it, own it, LOVE it!! :)
About the cologne, Calvin Klein’s Obsession for Men is my **ABSOLUTE** favorite. If I’m in a crowded elevator and a guy has it on, I can detect it immediately!!! It has a powerful scent, but it doesn’t overwhelm you. I *love* that stuff. It’s like a musk with a very soft hint of sweetness. I *LOVE* it when men wear that stuff!!!
Oh, and, yes, by the way, good forearms are nice, too … especially if they’re lightly scented with a little Obsession for Men. ;)

A sense of humor and can care about others without sacrificing their own self-esteem.
I believe that should be filed under “cake and eat it, too”.

Ummmm….EVERYTHING? :o)
Mostly, I love a tall, broad, strong man. Since I’m pretty independent, I don’t usually want to be taken care of, but a good, strong man who can envelope me in his arms makes me melt everytime…

Howard: I don’t think that’s too much to ask for. But, then again, I am the *queen* of wanting to have my cake and eat it too. Sometimes I think I’m a bit too picky.
AmyD: I like big guys — the taller the better. I’ve dated guys my height, but I think I prefer 6′0″ and taller.

I wear “Caesars Man”cologne and get lots of compliments.
Funny that you said that about men’s legs. I have always thought that was my best feature. I used to ride a bike 25-50 miles a day, many years ago, and that is what got them into shape.

Stolie, I’m a “bit” lacking in the height department.. otherwise, I think you and I should go out sometime… dinner? Tonight? Pick you up at 6:00? :D

AWE: Seeee, I was right. Soccer players and cyclists have the bets legs.
momok: Heeeey! Aren’t you getting married??? :)
August 31st, 2006 at 4:56 pm
OOPS … make that *best* legs AWE. Typo.

Yeah I’m getting married, but does that mean, before I get married, I can’t have dinner with a girl.. let alone after the wedding?

Strong arms. Strong chest. Strong mind. Delicious!

This is going to sound very strange but I have a thing for wide chests and long arms. Something about feeling safe and protected :) (though the independent in me is like I don’t need to be protected LOL sometimes it is a battle in my mind)!!! Other than that…a strong mind and great eyes :)

Hands, hands hands. It’s the first thing that I really take inventory of… meaning when I meet a guy we can be talking and I’m not really thinking any thing specific – then when I catch sight of his hands I form impressions right away.
Good hands are those that are in porportion – finger lenght etc fits the rest of the hands and nails that are trimmed and well maintained. It drive me nuts nuts nuts to see a guy with fingernails longer than his fingers – even just a little bit….
oh, Brown Eyes too……..sigh….

momok: Interesting question.
Nerd Girl: Yum. Yum. And, more yum. :)
History Chic: I’m right here with you on this one. Big (but not fat) guys rock!
E: I don’t really notice hands that much, but I’m definitely a fan of brown eyes.

you meant physically? I like good strong arms, height (i’m tall myself) and good underwear. Men, i can NOT stress this enough. GOOD UNDERWEAR!! Oh, and fresh breath and nice teeth. men that can make decisions. guys that dress well, guys that are rich but don’t flash it around..
It’s funny how i know what i want in a guy by narrowing down things that i DON’T like in a guy.

arms – from the hands to the shoulders and i’m all about a guys back (and I mean back back, from the shoulderblades down.). it doesn’t have to be well trained, just look nice. y’know the whole t-shirt-removing thing. gets me every time :)

Little A: no worries; it’s often just as important to know what you don’t want as it is to know what you do want.
Firefly: Backs are nice. Guys who work out a lot tend to have AMAZING backs! :)

I’m a sucker for a smile with dimples. Ditto for the legs and forearms. Ohhh and the whiff of cologne…mmmm! I once made out with a random guy I met at a club purely on the basis of how sexy he smelt! (He was quite hot too, but it was the smell that attracted me initially).
I think swimmers have the best bodies though when it comes to athletes. Even better would be a hybrid of a man with the torso of a swimmer, the legs of a soccer player, the arms of a tennis player, and the walk of a crickter!

Swimmers!!! I forgot swimmers. They have *GREAT* bodies. You know what it is? I think it’s the guys who do sports that give them a total body workout *WITHOUT* bulking up too much. Swimmers, soccer players, and runners generally have really nice, fit, streamlined bodies. BUT they aren’t super skinny and they aren’t too bulky either.
A swimmer with dimples? YUM!!!
