Like my previous conference was Teched.. the whole city of Auckland turned into Geekcity for 3 days. By coincidence, on the 3rd day, there was a parade to promote Erotica Expo.

I started by saying “Queen street turned into Silicon Valley for a whole 30 minz, Pun intended” I couldn’t get ppl to stop laughing. Reason:- The parade was theamed “Boobs on Bikes” a whole lot of chicks on huge bikes wearing nothing but skimpy panties (or similar)! :-)

kypris: It was a lot of fun, so I’ll probably look for ways to do it again sometime in the future. By the way, the violin is my absolute favorite instrument!!!!

I’ve performed my share of times in various ways: playing the violin, acting(in French Immersion in secondary school, but it was performed publicly and some of it was even filmed by the news! That was pretty awesome) and I’ve danced in my share of plays and dance shows. I also compete in ballroom dance, which is just as much of a show as everything else…but I’m not at a high level yet so I can’t compare to the real champion dancers.

The one thing I cannot do easily is speak in front of an audience, so I tip my hat to you, Stolie.

Howard: Hey, post that whole story on your blog!!! I’m sure you were an ADOREABLE little child. :)

AmyD: I’m not sure what the reaction from the boys was. Oddly enough, the stage lights are so bright that you can’t really see anyone in the crowd. I saw, maybe, the front row or so, but I couldn’t see much further than that. But, as a general rule, men love panties!!

AWE: THANKS!!! And, this reminds me that I’m due for another panty post someday soon.

Firefly: I would have loved to see them too. :) Noboby told me that spotlights are so bright. You can even see yourself spitting as you talk. Now that I think about it, that part was really gross.

Mitch: Wait a minute … Boy Scouts are called “Beavers” in Canada?!?!!? That’s too cute. And, by the way, I ***LOVE*** karaoke. IF you ever find yourself in New York City, I’m soooo gonna kidnap you and make you go sing karaoke with me and my friends.

Raymond: OOOOH! That would be FUN. For the record, I’m the youngest child in my family. All youngest children are natural born performers.

Nat: Yep. It’s true. Believe it or not, I’ve never been to Philly. Hmmm … maybe I’ll take your suggestion and grab a train from Penn Station one day. And, oooh, you’re thinking theater. My top picks would be: Avenue Q, Sweeney Todd, RENT, or The Color Purple. And, of course, the Culture Project ROCKS!!! I’d highly suggest anything and everything that they put on. Not to mention, I hear Dylon McDermott … or is it Dermott Mulroney (I always confuse those two) is in one of their current shows. He’s a HOTTIE!!!!!! :)

Ah yes, when I was young I was a bit of a performer. I think I was 6, in ‘Beavers’ (mini-scouts) when I lead the entire city-wide troupe in a rousing edition of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

But then again, I’ve always been one comfortable in front of a crowd, speaking, giving toasts, making fun of myself (I’m quite good at that!) or for work, giving presentations and facilitating public meetings etc.

So long as it is NOT karaoke, I’m fine – the minute karaoke comes into the equation, I simply find a place to hide.
