I think it’s only because they come out at Easter, but I love, love, love Cadbury Mini-Eggs. I literally buy bags and bags of them to stock up long after Easter. (Hmmm, I need to had that to my story queue.)

Chocolate covered nuts- especially cashews and almonds. Nuts dipped is chocolate are irresistable.

Most people think this is strange but, I like chocolate with beer! Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! and then you can make fun of me…

i’m probably going to be the ONLY person who says this, but i hate chocolate. i don’t know why. ever since childhood the mere thought of a candy bar was enough to turn my stomach. that said, i do like white chocolate (probably because it tasted nothing like milk or dark). so my favorite chocolate dessert would probably be either those white chocolate lindt balls or white chocolate raspberry truffles.

Oh one of my favorite chocolate desserts is chocolate lava cake with ice-cream because of the melted chocolate surprise in the middle! I also like anything that is pure, good quality, dark chocolate – a bit of a chcolate snob :)

Oh and the beer and chocolate I totally get it! One of the most popular classes at UBC is a beer fermentation lab where you get to make your own beer. A friend of mine made chocolate beer and it was sooooooo yummy – malty, smooth, and a little chocolaty with a tiny bit of sweet. I get chocolate and beer.

Hey Stolie.

I am a self-admitted chocoholic. Chocolate in any of its forms is just fantastic… we have a restaurant here in vancouver called Death By Chocolate that has a number of sinfully good desserts (though it used to be much better).

But as for favourite chocolate? I like to combine two of my favourite things in the world.

Chocolate

And

Coffee

(and if possible, chocolate and sex go together too, but being single, it’s just not quite as much fun!)

Roger’s Chocolates makes this Coffee/Chocolate creation that melts in your mouth and literally turns off my brain for the few minutes it takes to eat. My ex-gf used to laugh at me, and I wouldn’t even hear her when I was eating the dessert…

Oh damn, now I’m hungry…

Well I would have to say my favorite chocolate dessert is one I make myself and I swear it all comes from store bought goodies.

Here is the recipe:

1 box Choc Fudge Cake
1 box Devils Food Cake
1 bag dark choc morsals
(mix as box describes-doubling because 2 cakes and mix in dark choc morsals) cook as specified (it only takes about 10 min more for the 2)

Topping:
1 Milk Choc Icing
1 Choc Fudge Icing
1 bag dark choc morsals
Melt together and pour over cake after it cools

This is a very rich cake..but I have to make it for everyone’s birthday

Howard: I feel the same about Girl Scout Thin Mint choc cookies. I don’t know if it’s because you can only get them at certain times of the year, but I *LOVE* them.

Muneeba: Yeah, I love really really rich choc desserts. I don’t think I’ve ever met a piece of chocolate that I didn’t like.

Laurie: I had a chocolate flavored beer at this Aussie bar downtown (8 mile Creek). It was yummy. And, by the way, I hear Sam Adams has a choc beer called Choc Bock or something like that. I’ve never tried it.

tara: You don’t like chocolate??? Blasphemer!!! You’re the devil, and the truth is not in you. ;)

The Genius: YUM!!!!!!!!!!!

Mitch: You’re a good man.

History Chic: I make a killer Raspberry-Amaretto Choc Mousse cake. It’s not 100% from scratch — I cut corners here and there. :) Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone.

well, i have to give big thanks to Laurie for turning me on to this site. she knows that i am a straight-up chocoholic and that i regularly give offerings to the goddess Chocolatl and knew that i had to check this site. i will definitely checking this new chocolate temple that you have mentioned because frankly, i just can’t get enough chocolate in my life.

SPEAKING OF WHICH, have you checked the Cupcake Cafe in Hell’s Kitchen??? they have the most divine chocolate cupcakes in the land. they were so fantastic that i dedicated a blog entry to them that you can check here (shameless plug): http://blackstar27.wordpress.com/2006/09/01/all-hail-to-the-mighty-cupcakes/

OMG! I saw an article about the Chocolate Bald Man and was wondering if you have been yet! I SO WANT to go!

Well, favorite chocolate? Almost impossible to narrow it down to 1; I would say ANY except that chocolate covered gummy bears are disgustinng!

My top 5:
1. Home made fudge (using my mom’s recipe – the kind you cook, no marshmallow creme involved)
2. No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
3. M&M’s
4. Hershey Bars (especially direct from the freezer in the summer)
5. Nacogdoches Cake ( a chocolate cake where you cook the icing and ice the cake while the icing is hot)

I think I’ll post the recipies on my blog….

Melting Chocolate Heart Cake

That’s my favorite! Actually, I’ve only had the Applebee’s version.

I have seen the store before it opened and now it’s all about losing 15lbs so I can have me some of that Melting Chocolate Heart Cake!

Thank YOU!

mel: Flourless cake is YUMMY!!! :)

GrizzBabe: Godiva was created by the gods.

J: YAY!!!! Welcome to the blog. Glad you like it, and THANK YOU for suggesting the Cupcake Cafe. I love Hell’s Kitchen, but I’d never even HEARD of that place.

Laurie: No, you’re eyes aren’t playing tricks on you; check your email. :)

e: I soooooo need to head over to your blog to check for the recipes. I *LOVE* chocolate.

Jo: I didn’t know that Applebees had the same dessert, but I’m so glad to know that it’s available at Chocolate by the Bald Man. :)

I love a great toast – a honey oat toast – like Oroweat and then, toasted, butter, thin peanut butter spread, chocolate and raspberry jam. To die for.
