I have learned my lesson. I've lost too much money in Oscar pools rooting for the folks who don't stand a chance. Forrest? Love him, and he's paid his dues and he's fabulous in everything he does. He has the power to make even the stupiest movies better (Panic Room comes to mind) and I heard his performance was superb (top of my list of movies to see next), but Peter O'Toole is quite old and may not make another film. he needs to squeeze in an Oscar. And he was wonderful in that movie. I vote Pete. If Forest wins it'll be an awesome upset. Babel is too weird to win for BP, and the director is not American. The Academy likes to lump the foreigners into one lonely category. I'd love it it they give it to The Queen, and there's a 50/50 shot there, but I have a bad feeling that Clint will win this because he's old AND American AND it's a war movie. The Academy loves war.
