hehehe I know it is Spring when my sinus’ go into overdrive LOL :) I know spring has sprung !! Oh and another sign: I have to start mowing the yard. Yep I still do it myself…though I am thinking of hiring someone to do it this summer if it is really really hot.

You said “Denmark is head over heels because spring has finally come”. But, I thought you guys were *ALWAYS* head over heels. :) BBC news and others reported that the Danes are the happiest people in the world. :)

Denmark is head over heels because spring has finally come to our cold and moist country. Yesterday, I spent an hour outside correcting English essays (I’m a high school teacher) with my brand new shades. What a feeling! All Copenhageners are going crazy, and you see people wearing everything from gloves and scarves to shorts and flipflops!

Spring here is 15 degrees (celcius) and cold nights – which makes it almost obligatory to change clother to-three times a day; what more can a girl want?

Oh, and the best thing: The length of the day! Now, we have sun(or at least light) from 6am till 8pm.

i live in LA now where there are no seasons, just the same daily weather/mood forecast that pretty much applies to the entire population – partly sunny, lightly cloudy burn-off around noon and sunny the rest of the day.

When I lived in NYC i loved the change from summer to fall the most – the turning of leaves, cooler temps, fly fall wardrobes (boots, Boots, BOOTS!), cooking/baking family favorites and gearing up the holidays.

The change from winter to spring is a close second, though – i love putting away all the cold-weather stuff, it’s like shedding old/heavy skin. :)

Lala: That's right!! I totally understand *why* the seasons are opposite down there, but it still kind of fascinates me that we're prepping for spring at the very same time that you're prepping for fall. Papigiulio: Yeah, I *love* spring & summer! And although I miss living in Europe, I don't miss the weather. Pegs: Yeah, the Verizon thing *really* pissed me off!!! You can't even begin to imagine what that hell was like. Now, about the seasons ... yeah, I don't miss Chicago winters at all. cici: My friend Mags lives in DC, too. I soooo need to take a trip down there to visit her.

This is my first year living in DC so this is quite possibly my very first Spring. In Cleveland, where I’m from, I really don’t think there is any such thing as a Spring-straight Winter into Summer. But this is pretty nice, although my favorite season is Autumn. I just really love the colors outside, the not-too-hot/not-too-cold weather and I have a massive coat/jacket collection :-)
