For some reason, a lot of people believe black women have to take an either/or approach to dating. And everything else for that matter.

Date a white guy once (or twice, or hell, look at one too long), you must not like brothers. Acknowledge mixed ancestry, must be denying blackness. Speak with the carefully considered vocabulary, measured words, tones and diction of your middle class family and friends, and you must be trying to sell out and act white.

It’s not fair, damnit. But wasn’t it you who said peoples perceptions say more about the judger than the judged?

I for one love my UN of crushes, including the FBM, one of God’s many Fine Man gifts to women (my personal Fine Man list includes, a passel of beautiful brothers, of course, the Sexy Japanese Guy, several Pretty Indian Boys, a few Gorgeous Australians and Kiwis of Irish and/or Scots Extraction, A German, a pint-sized but highly athletic runner from the white cliffs of Dover…)

It’s a problem my wifey encountered, so she had to settle for this here whitey –no, I’m not even peach!–
