When I was in high school, I used to have a crush on a man who wore a big gold pinky ring. Yes, I said it. The man wore a pinky ring. And, I liked him. A lot. Okay, so, I ignored the pinky ring for as long as I could. Then, eventually, I told him: “You know … that pinky ring? It kinda looks a little goofy.” His response? “My dad gave me this ring just before he died.” (Needless to say, I felt like a total jackass.) Okay, so, today’s Manly Monday topic makes me think of that guy from high school and other men who wear man jewelry. Do you dig men who wear pinky rings? Do man earrings (mearrings) turn you on? Does a man wearing a big flashy watch make you want to flash a smile in his direction? Fess up and tell me: Do you like it when men wear jewelry?

A tasteful necklace or a small earring is OK (on the right guy). Other than that, no jewelry, please.
I don’t mind it if it isn’t just to be showy!!!
I have to agree with stefanie on that one. Ooh you know what really makes me giggle? Bling-teeth! They look awful, but I can’t stop smiling if I see a guy with them on!
I really like a nice watch on a man’s wrist – NO BLING WHATSOEVER, just a well-appointed man-of-the-world kind of thing; a nice Swiss Army or sporty Tag Heuer. I think a nice watch that fits well communicates strength and balance (to me) and is very sexy.
I’m not a fan of earrings, necklaces or bracelets unless they’re family heirlooms.
Hey!
It’s interesting to comment on this from the Guy’s perspective. Because a friend of mine recently commented on a silver chain I wear – saying it looked ‘tough’ – I laughed b/c well, I’ve been wearing this chain for 10 years now and it’s the first time she noticed it!
For me, a watch and my chain is all I typically wear. No rings, no ‘jewellery’ yet there are guys who can look good, and not goofy with it, I’m just not one of them…
I have a friend who has been begging me to go back to wearing earrings since I stopped 4 years ago. I like the cleaner look of being without them but even I’ll admit the flash at the tip of my earlobes is attractive (to me).
I’ve decided recently to give in to my desires and get a pinky ring. I know it’s a turn off to some, but I’m starting not to care. It’s not like women are digging me otherwise.
stefanie: What? No watches? :) I love guys with nice watches.
Felicia: I really like to wear dangling earrings, cute bangles, jazzy handmade necklaces … anything but gold or silver basically. But, I don’t like it when guys wear noticeable jewelery either. I’m starting to feel like a hypocrite.
Darwin: I’m sooooo not a fan of bling-teeth either.
Susan: Mmmm. Tag Heuer. VERY sexy!!! I love men who wear classy watches.
Mitch: Yay!!! It’s great to get a guy’s perspective!!! :)
Dragonslayer: Yeah, I think it’s all about wearing jewelery (or jewellery for those who prefer the British spelling) that accentuates your personality. So, if a guy is really flashy, he can get away with flashy earrings. Diddy wear what looks like 52-carat diamond earrings. In both ears. But, I think he pulls it off really well. So, if you can pull off earrings, rock ‘em.
Somehow I totally forgot about watches (I guess because to me, a watch is functional more than ornamental). Yes, of course watches are totally OK. :-)
:-)
I don’t mind a cool guy wearing an earring in each ear, but it really has to suit him.
The b/f has a nipple ring. It kinda turns me on when we go out and I know it’s there.
Hmmm ..
I hung out with a guy who wore a nipple ring. I thought it was kind of hot. :)
