I too was a victim of the text message dumper. We weren't technically in a relationship but when he would come to town we would hook up and there some inkling of more. In any event, the was also a guy I knew for over 5 years as a friend before we started screwing and who had never texted me before. The night he texted me I was expecting him back at the apartment. I had cooked and I wanted to spend some QT with him before he headed back home. I was in shock when it happened and had a similar response as your girl. After he got back home though it all hit me like a ton of bricks and I wanted/needed/demanded an explanation. How dare he reduce our five years to a text message. It was eating me up inside so I had to let him know that I was pissed as hell with a helping of hurt on the side. Needless to say he could have cared less. It taught me a lesson -- a piece of ass is simply that to a man. I am still bitter as hell. Since I don’t want to register to comment on this topic on Nerve I will leave my response here.
