Woot! Woot! Come here close to mama and tell her who your favorite brown person is. Yep! The 2007 Black Weblog Awards are accepting nominations from now until Wednesday, August 15th. If you wanna know what the BWAs are (or if you have questions about the nomination process) check out the site’s FAQ. If you have questions about the rules, see RULES. In particular, I would like to draw your attention to the text in the rules that specifically says, “You cannot nominate your own blog. However, feel free to encourage your readers to nominate you.” I don’t typically ask folks to nominate me for stuff, but I thought I’d dedicate a post to this one because the nomination rules are pretty elaborate — especially regarding eligibility. Hey, how ’bout some squid pro quo? You could nominate my blogspot blog for “dumbest thing ever put on the internet”. (I don’t qualify as black, though – if I was any whiter people wouldn’t be able to look at me without a welder’s mask.)
Done and done!! Oh, but in case you didn’t know (since I didn’t)…they wouldn’t let me put the same blog more than 5 times, so they were all “THINK AGAIN!” and made me do it all over again. Boooo! Either way, you’re in there via me! Good luck!! :o)
