I fell into it, and hard! When someone described it to me i thought "that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard!" But then I started to appreciate the brevity of it, and it's microblogging/SMS GPS vibe. Een though it sometimes gets repetative, I get a kick out of the morning coffee tweets, the lunch description tweets, the TGIF tweets etc. Following hardcore twitterers is a strange window into their brains and their environments. I love it. I have to avoid watching Twittervision.com, because it's terribly engrossing. Huge time waster. When I'm off twitter, though, I have to admit that I feel cleaner, somehow. Don't know why. Maybe because I'm an addict? Also, I don't usually use twitter from the computer, because that seems weird. I'm sitting at my desk. So what? I'm a txt gal, but I have unlimited texting, which makes it ok. (paying $65 in txt charges before I made the switch to unlimited and I forgot to turn the damn thing off for four days?
