Mother. Fucker. Very few things suck as much as feeling sick does. And, the kind of sick that I feel right now is the very worst kind of sick: congestion and itchy eyes accompanied by a nasty sneezing & coughing thing. It could be a filthy little cold. Or, it could be that thing that seems to be going around. Or, it could be really bad case of allergies. (Sidenote: If I’m slowly developing some type of allergy thing, I guess that would explain the breathing stuff.) But, whatever it is, I couldn’t go to sleep last night until well after 4:00am. Yep. That’s me. Hanging with reruns of the news, infomercials, and video clips of the emotional Britney Spears fan. Exciting times indeed. Trust me, if I could have, I would have much preferred to sleep. I’m gonna take it easy today and throughout the weekend. I’ll catch up with you all on Monday when I’ll be back to my regular blogging schedule. If the universe cooperates with me, expect daily FBC posts next week, and 3 – 4 updates over at Nerve.

feel better! hopefully in time to enjoy at least some of the weekend!
xo,

I got hit with my first allergic reaction in 1999. I was 29 years old. My eyes got itchy and hurt beyond belief. I laid on the floor of my apartment for two days with a wet towel over my eyes until I discovered the wonder of Visine. I still didn’t know it was an allergy until it return in Spring of the following year.
Now, it’s something I live with. Clartin is my best friend from March through May every year.
geez. I hope you feel better soon!
Aww. Feel better. When I feel bad, I love to soak in a hot bath with some Johnson & Johnson Soothing Vapor Bath (in the baby section). It really opens up your nose!
Allergies suck. I always have one or two days a year where they absolutely kick my ass, then I’m good after that.
I went ahead and added you to my blogroll too. Thanks for the nice comment :)
Dragonslayer is right – Claritin is some seriously good shit. They make it as a generic now so it’s pretty cheap – if you think you’re developing allegies (I also spontaneously generated some in my late 20s), go get some of this stuff immediately. The generic drug name is Loratadine, and during the Spring I mix the pills into my breakfast cereal every morning.
@ denise: Thanks! So far, I’m already feeling a ton better. I took it easy on Friday night. And, I’m spending most of tonight at home wrapping up a few writing projects. Very relaxing, quite evening with me and my tissues.
@ Dragonslayer: Ooooh, I didn’t even think of that. I might need Visine. My eyes are kind of red and irritated. I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about Claritin, too. I’m not a fan to doping, and I think our bodies naturally heal themselves of minor illnesses when we treat them right (no stress, more sleep, good exercise & diet). But, for this cold / allergy / whatever stuff, I think I might need pills.
@ courtney: Love your blog, lady! Thanks for the “feel better” wishes.
@ løvechocolate: OOOH! Another great suggestion. THANK YOU. I’ll add it to my list.
@ Leon: No prob! Love your blog, too; you’re really funny!
@ Baba Doodlius: Man, can I just tell you that I adore all my readers. I put up a short post that simply says that I don’t feel good. And, all of a sudden, I get all this great advice about stuff to make me feel better. I have the best readers in the world!! :)
