FBC at Nerve.com: Best Sex Ever

January 22nd, 2008 Posted in Nerve.com

Who doesn’t love good sex? Rewind to the holiday break. I finally got laid. If you’ve read this blog with any amount of frequency, you know that I’m single. My solo status isn’t the cause of my sexless life. (Hell, there are plenty of married duos who don’t get it on regularly either, right?) So, what gives? Well, truth be told [...]

I’m writing at Nerve today. Tonight, I’m attending the Best Sex Writing 2008 book release party. I interviewed Rachel about the book just before the holidays. Watch it on YouTube.

Heh. Strange coincidence but after almost a year of no sex for exactly the same reasons as you, I had a friend stay with me over the holidays and…. you know the rest :D. Freaky huh?!

Needless to say I relate to all aspects of this post of yours!

hi fbc, loved yr new post. let me [as someone who has been dating in nyc for the past 19 months] ask a possibly dumb question: why does yr ideal man have to be over 6′1″? you would reject a man who’s 5′11″? or 6′ even? i have lots of specs also, so i can sympathize, but for me, over 5′9″ is fine [but then, i'm 5'3"].
delighted you got some over xmas — more power to you.

Are we talking about Jonathan here??

Darwin: The holiday season is a time for giving. :)

mimi: I like ‘em tall. The taller the better. But, I sooo wouldn’t turn down a shorter guy. I once dated a guy who was exactly my height. He was gorgeous.

max: Nope. Haven’t seen him in ages. I think the earth opened up and swallowed him whole.

and make the blog a book? it’s on your plans? is very “trendy” these days.

  6. funkybrownchick Says:

A book is definitely in my plans, but it’s more of a memoir than strictly a “you read it on the blog, now come read the same shit in a book” kind of thing.

i guess, from what i’ve been reading here and at nerve’s for the last months, you’re really looking for a relatioship. but you say you’re not… so how come, if you feel so horny, you don’t just…do it with the hot guys you’ve been dating? oh i wish i had a date with a hot guy..

    (don’t get me wrong, hopefully)

  8. Carolina Pereira Says:

yeah i know. that’s exactly what happens with blogs, these days. but i don’t know…it could be huge. if so many people ready it in a blog, imagine how many would read it in a book? ;)

btw: i bought one book you sugested, “five men who broke my heart” and i’m loving it ;)

I just shot Sue an email to let her know you like her book. It was optioned for a film, so you’ll see a movie about it soon, too! By the way … GREAT question about the whole “why don’t you just sleep them” stuff. I’m going to answer that fully in my Nerve blog column sometime soon.
