I Heart British Men
Oh, dear! As I read the Jezebel headline, “Women Around The World Swear That British Men Suck,” my tiny, little heart felt a great sadness. They link to this article from the Telegraph:
“When Jennifer Rohn arrived in London from Idaho, America, ten years ago she had a vision of a typical British man: a mix of Hugh Grant, Lord Byron and Colin ‘wet shirt’ Firth in Pride & Prejudice. This man would have floppy hair and wear Savile Row suits; he would pick her up in his Aston Martin, take her to dinner at Scott’s and then woo her with some Marvell in front of a blazing log fire back at his country pile. The reality, however, was more disappointing.”
I love the Brits — especially the men. They’re fantastic! If you’ve read this blog for any amount of time, you know about my preference for imports. We’ve already given Manly Monday nods to the French and the Aussies. Coming soon: An Ode to the British Male.

That is sad, but when I was living in London for 6 months I was also dissapointed at how shy and nevrous Brits were and was sad that no Colin Firth-like guy came knocking at my door. Instead I ended up dating another American in London, but he had a British like name, Ethan. ;)

I love a smooth, masculine British accent! Whoo, Lawd, take me to the river! Now with that said, the British guy has to have great teeth and not be catty…eh…
But overall, I’m a World Wide Lover..so if a man looks good, let the geography lesson begin.
Now, if you all will excuse me…I feel like a cucumber sandwich..no really….:)

@ Baba Doodlius: I’m soooo gonna have fun with the next Manly Monday. :-)
@ Mitch: YAY!!! You’re back!! :) I missed ya, babes!! :) And, OF COURSE I’d never forget the Canadians at the FBC. Hell, you got a full post. That reminds me … I should do that again.
@ Tara: Don’t date fellow Americans when you live abroad. It feels like “attraction” but it’s really just “homesickness.” ;)
@ ErrorBoy: Hadn’t seen that link before. Odd.
@ WonderLove: Take me to the river with you! :)

Even though I don't want to openly admit it, but I do have a soft spot for British guys. I haven't had the chance to meet any Brits but I would like to. I'm a sucker for the accent especially if they're dirty talking. OMG! I would have to excuse myself promptly. For now, I can just fantasize, I guess.

I don't want to openly admit this but I do have a soft spot for British guys. I'm a sucker for the accent, especially when they're dirty talking. OMG! I would to excuse myself very promptly. I often hear that British guys are very reserved. I think that's a plus because I'm shy and reserved myself. Unfortunately, I haven't had to chance to interact with any hot Brits. Oh well, I can always fantasize, can't I? :)
