My husband and I, are 17 years apart in age. I’m 50 years old and he’s 33. Adding to that, that I’m a black woman with a daughter in her early 20’s, and that he’s younger, white, and had never had any children, made things even more taboo for both of our families, but we’ve been happily married now, going on 6 years. I had just ended a 9-year relationship, and really wasn’t thinking of another relationship, when I met my husband Josh, while taking a class together at a community college.

At the time, Josh was taking classes at college, to get his P.O.S.T. certification, to become a law enforcement officer, and I had been taking classes to advance my education, and start my own business. The class we met in, was an elective class, Creative Writing 101. It was our teacher, who first paired us together, so we have her to thank.

We started working together as study buddies, then became the best of friends, and well, one thing lead to another, and before long, we were dating and head over heels in love with each other.

We told my family first, but they all seemed to look upon Josh with disdain, if not outright hate. Plus it made some of them nervous, to learn that he was a former Marine and now a cop. His family seemed to be a bit more worried about the age issue, rather than the racial differences, but they have been more supportive.

Our sex life is wonderful, although, truth be told, I was quite nervous when we made love for the first time. I was being self-conscious about my looks, but he was so reassuring, and after awhile, I forgot about all of our differences, and finally allowed myself to feel all the love we had to share.

So I guess what I’m trying to say is, it can happen, and more importantly, it can work. You just have to give yourselves a chance to experience it.

I had a sex first time when I was 16. My boyfriend was 14. After him, in age of 17-19 I was in love with 2, 3 years younger boys so I have accustomed to younger boyfriends. All boys that I knew as I grew up at some point or another wanted to have an older woman. One teacher that I had in school had ALL the boys in awe of her and I am sure she knew it, at least she acted like she realised it. To this day,I dont know of any other woman who I was more turned on by. In my opinion, these boys that have a fling with their teacher are very lucky indeed. To bad they cant keep their mouth shut about it. As far as dating between adults, age should never be a factor. Women are just now beginning to realise that if men can have women half their age ,then whats wrong with women doing the same??????

I know what it is to be with a man 17 years my jr. I also am keenly aware of all the emotional problems this causes. I met him when I was 33 and he just of out of high school at 18. When I first saw him I literally felt like I was hit by a lighting bolt… My body felt like it was suddenly on fire- like burn hot, my hands shook and I felt like I would pass out any second… There was the blackness thing that happens sometimes when I stand up to fast and my heart was beating so hard and fast surely everyone in the room heard it. I will never ever forget that moment in time.He was and is so beautiful that sometimes it’s painful to look a him.It was so very strange and in a way painful. I then began to panic and it was too late then. One look in each others eyes from across the room and the rest is literally history.I tried so many times to push him away and he wouldn’t have it. It started that way and nothing has really chaned in the 13 years we have been together… Six of those in marriage.I was super uncomfortable in the beginning and made myself quite sick with denial and guilt. He was and is extremely confident, 6′2, blond and blue. He has a body like an athlete as he takes care of it.He has worked since day one and is now very successful. I never even dated or thought about dating somone younger. My first marriage was to someone 23 yrs my senior (it sucked and did not last long. I was 20 then and said I would never do it again). I then dated someone my age. Both saw me to 33 and that is when my life changed. I never had the “Big O” before him nor knew that I could actually enjoy sex and feel totally comfortable. The sex has always been amazing and I feel blessed to have love included. All my insecurities are just that – mine. He worships me and keeps me grounded.

Sex between older woman and younger men can be just great sex and nothing more or something much deeper.I will never know why we met and felt such a deep attraction. He is smarter than I am, much more mature and grounded and more. As corney as it sounds, we were made for each other and I am blessed in many ways.I will never know why he chose me I am just so lucky he did!!

So I think sex with younger men can be greatest sex out there. It is the emotional baggage of us woman who can get confused between just sex and wanting or needing something more. Not all younger guys want an attachment to anyone and sometimes the woman don’t. So find your balance and do not be afraid!
