Diane Lane was simply wonderful in that scene, her facial expressions on the train ride home just added to the emotion, and the heat. My choice of best sex scene in a movie is Don’t Look Now and not just because it is Julie Christie. There is love in that sex, just an awesome movie moment.

When you started to describe the scene, I knew immediately what film you were going to talk about. How about Diane Lane’s masturbation scene in that film? It lifted my eyebrow. Talk about daring.
Two scenes come to mind from “mainstream” film: Jeremy Irons’ scene in “Damaged” and Susan Sarandon in “The Hunger.” The former is a little fucked up, and the latter is quite possibly one of the hottest lesbian scenes ever put on film.
The last time I had great sex. Let’s see. I concur, but I’m torn between the two movies you mentioned. No….I’ll have to go with Unfaithful because Oliver Martinez is sooo beyond hot and that sex scene was so sensual and not in the least gratuitous. I wish Oliver had done full frontal!!
