No way! DC is awesome! Gobs of terrific food like dim sum in Chinatown and it's the Ethiopian restaurant capital of the non-Ethiopia world! Plus all the monuments pay testament to those too-rare groups and individuals that didn't have time for the usual political bullshit. Visit the Jefferson memorial at sunset and the FDR memorial at night. Fantastic stuff! It helps to go when the LoC is holding a good exhibit. Cripes, it's coming on two years since I was last there. Boston, though, that's still my favorite to visit. Duuuuude! No way! DC is awesome! DC may not be my favorite city, but I never thought of it as stately and orderly! I live in Maryland and I will admit that I don't go to DC that often. But that's because I'm directionaly challenged and usually end up lost for 2 hours! (one day i'll get one of those direction telling thingies!) Perhaps you'll be surprised and enjoy yourself. Hey!
