Disgust for what has been done to TVLand.com is universal across the net. Now they are choking what is left of their viewership with seemingly endless blocks of Roseanne and Cosby. TV Land is now exactly where nick-at-nite was 2 years ago. At the gates of oblivion. that will only start when places like Hollywood and Broadway start looking at men
and women as such and stop labeling actors by age…. just how old does a woman
have to be to still play the lead and not be thought of as old….. and the same
question is for the males…. Redford has played leads up into his 70's… I dont
see George C. doing that…. the term ” cougar ” to me does an injustice to women
to the point of making them sound needy….. what do you call the older men…
cads…. lions….. tigers…. bears…. old fogies …. and just how needy are them…

At what point does one become a 'cougar'? How many years difference does there need to be, or is it a proportion of total age (like when one person is double the age of the other)? Or is it just when when it's visually obvious that there's quite an age difference?

Why does anyone care about the age difference if the participants in the relationship don't care? When will society start making less of a fuss about the woman being the older one in a relationship?

I don't think I like the subject or the assumptions in general, and adding 'reality' television to the mix...ugh.

True Dat…… this may be the sign of the times….. just who is out there
writing for the sistahs with Talent…… will they have to underwrite their
own gigs just to be viable to showcase their talents….. as for anyone
who wishes to sidestep the funk and go straight to the one,that might
be the way to roll….. do it all with a lotta help from your friends…
that ” psych stuff ” at times …. can keep ya up at night wondering
why do I dial…. am guessing that you get paid something that's kinda
cool…. but, yeah….. be true to you….. come correct….

i dunno…i'm happy whenever viveca has job other than shilling for “pyschic friends”, so i feel i should be supportive…but i'm not quite convinced this is a mess i need to see…;)
