In Pictures: I’m Not Quite Nude
Okay, so, this doesn’t have anything to do with dating. A little more than a year ago, I did a sitting with Bill Wadman. On the day of the shoot, he gave me an instant pic he took on one of his cameras. That evening, during my train ride home, I tucked it in between the pages of the paperback I was reading. When Bill emailed me digital copies of the photo shoot images, I was sooooo excited about how great the new pictures looked that — because I can be somewhat scattered — I totally forgot about the other pic I already had. Fast forward more than 12 months later. I found it again when I started packing up my books to move from my current apartment to the new place. I can’t believe I forgot about it because It’s one of my favorite photos, and Bill is probably one of the most skilled working photographers I’ve ever met. Given his relatively young age, his talent is truly remarkable. What’s more? He’s sooooo damn sexy! If you’d like to read the interview I did with him for my Nerve magazine column last year, it’s available on my site.

looking tasty as usual.
The pic looks like your filled with nervous sexual excitement. Like you received an anonymous letter, telling you to be at an address, and to only wear the clothes that you find there. Your desire to do something different…something other than the ”mundane” after countless nights of your couch and favorite paperback. You have needs that harlequin romances can’t touch. So you follow the note to the letter. There you sit waiting for what comes next, your thighs squeezed together in fear, and excitement.

txvisionary: Yeah, I love it that he did this one in Black and White. B&W photos almost always look more classically classy than photos with color.
Henriette: THANKS :) And, yes, when’s your next visit to New York? There’s a couch in my apartment with your name on it. :)
dkzone: Wow, how did you know???? That’s EXACTLY how we set up the shoot! It all started with a random note from a stranger. ;)
Diana: Thank you :)
lamesabassman: There’s usually an author photo in the back on the book. Thought of using my standard bio photo, but hadn’t considered this one. It’s something to think about. Chances are, whichever publishing house buys the book will have some influence in the decision.
Baba Doodlius: Oh shit! I hadn’t thought of that!! I should’ve worn a little white T-shirt with “I Love Jewish Boys” printed across the top. :)

Don’t know how I missed this interview after I had seen these lovely pics. I must say, that was a very interesting “dance” you and the photographer had. I wish I could have seen and heard it all for myself.
