You would never dream of moving anywhere else, and we’ve insulted you by even suggesting you might leave. You love every single thing about this town, right down to its adorable water-bug infestation.

Last week I took that damn quiz…and yep, I too belong to the city of New York! New York is a love-hate-dysfunctional-type of relationship: we miss it dearly when we’re away (like now, I’m in Houston and I’m hella-anxious to get back to Brooklyn), yet when we’re there, in its clutches, we moan and complain about everything: the subway fair hike, the expensive food, the damn tourists, the high-cost of living, the expensive cab fares, the homeless, the blah, blah, blah…but we continue to stay, and thus, we suck it up.

I too have to agree, having lived in over a dozen cities and two countries in the last decade or so, I can say, New York may not be “the best” place for me to live, but it is one of my top five places to lay my head!

BLASPHEMY! THAT’S BLASPHEMY I SAY!

but the NY (ok, ok — long island) is home for me. even though i haven’t lived there for — cripes! — 10 years, i still love the place. i think i “fit” there better than i do any place else, but that affordability factor is what made me move and what has kept me from moving back.

I’ve never lived there, but I’ve visited a couple times and been there on business, and I can conclusively say that I would *never* want to live there. Not my bag-o-worms.

Different strokes, though.
