I agree that Haiti was already poverty-stricken, but this situation only highlights its many problems. Still, they need so much help– the pictures of children really get to me.

I totally feel you on this. People really don’t understand just how jacked up Haiti was before the earthquake.

*newsflash!!*

people were poor, starving, homeless and without clean drinking water BEFORE the earthquake.

Would this country really care, to this extent, if Obama wasn’t president?

I admit I am a wayward Christian, but have always fancied the Bible verse, Matthew 6:6, since I was always bothered by people who expressed themselves in church, only so that others could see.

“But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly.”

I think that this applies to many things, especially those that you mentioned.
