Sexual Health & Education

Created for attendees at my South by Southwest (SXSW) presentation Adult Conversations: Sex, Intimacy & Online Relationships, the following resource list helps you keep current on what sociologists, bloggers and sex researchers are saying about interpersonal affairs and human sexuality now.

Be sure to read D. Parvaz’s oldie but goody piece Be Sex Positive and Fear No Pleasure. “Being sex positive [...] means you have what is perceived as a healthy attitude toward your sexuality. You might be vanilla in your straight, bisexual, homosexual or transgender sex life without polyamorous, open or fetishistic complications. But you at least know a thing or two about these things, aren’t afraid to talk about them, and you definitely know what you like.” Also, if you’re a sex blogger, be sure to check out EFF’s How to Blog Safely (About Work or Anything Else) and Citizen Media Law Project’s Deciding Whether and How to be Anonymous. Enjoy!
