Yesterday, the Truman National Security Project welcomed its Class of 2020. Our founder, Twanna A. Hines, has joined the community as a Political Partner.
Twanna has lived and worked transatlantically, working in diplomacy, development and democracy building. Committed to peacebuilding and leadership development, the recent honor is in step with FUNKY BROWN CHICK’s mission. Exercising soft power, we tap pop culture, entertainment, and digital media to build cultural strategies for our clients.
FUNKY BROWN CHICK fully promotes the inclusion of women and other gender identities in U.S. foreign policy and democratic promotion. It’s all part of our grand plan to actively build a world that uses the art of persuasion to convince others to become their better selves. Gender and sexuality issues relevant to national security include but are not limited to the global gag rule, military women’s health, the transgender military ban, and human trafficking.
